About the author
Gene is an historian, author and lecturer originally from the Main Line outside Philadelphia. An avid history buff, he started writing after working 30 years in the energy and investment industries. He holds a Master's Degree summa cum laude in American history, a Master's Degree in Petroleum Geology and an MBA Finance. Gene is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is a member of the Chester County History Center, Chadds Ford Historical Society, American Friends of Lafayette and Friends of Brandywine Battlefield. He has published ten books, conducts an ongoing lecture series and is available for a variety of events and book signings. His lecture series consists of 12 different lectures on a wide range of historical topics, from the Revolutionary War to the War of 1812, the Civil War and other fields of interest. Gene and his wife Phyllis live in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania with their three cats Frankie, Francis and Momcat and parakeets Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty.
